This week marks the first Sunday of the new church year after our quiet summer! This fall, we’re using the Season of Creation Worship Guide developed for MCEC and MC USA, called To Hope and Act with Creation. The theme for the first week is kinship.
We usually incorporate a blessing of the backpacks for anyone going back to school in the fall. This is usually one of our biggest services in the fall, and it’s followed by a fellowship potluck.
Please note, there will be no post next week as our church’s service will be held outdoors at a local park.

In the photos below, you can see the bunting that I sewed over the summer to decorate the table! I’m super happy with how it turned out (bonus post to come about this), and I hope it will draw a bit more attention to the ministry this church year.
